Budong’s Malunggay Pandesal

This pandesal, is not your ordinary pandesal. We all know that pandesal is one of the trademarks of filipinos. When I first saw a stall of this malunggay pandesal, I got easily hesitated to try it because of the word “malunggay’ Im not fond of eating veggies like malunggay, so my very first impression is that: “ewwwww, pandesal with malunggay?” Im afraid that because it has malunngay on it, it might taste bad.

there’s this friend of mine who said that this malunggay pandesal taste good she said that this malunggay has its own unique twist of taste. She also said that because it has malunggay its really healthy and that the malunggay on it is grind, so you wont really taste that there’s a malunggay on it. Im not really convinced with what she said, so I said o myself why not give it a try. So there’s this Budong Malunggay Pandesal near our place, the pandesal cost 2pesos each, so I bought 10 pieces. It is really tasty and i love its crunchy taste. My friend is right there is something unique with this one, I can honestly say that you can eat it alone without any spread because its really tasty, and the malunggay on it is not annoying
If anyone of you who’s also curious about this malunggay pandesal, I recommend you to give it also a try šŸ™‚

Sizzling Sisig with Egg

IMG_0054-2Casa Ysabel Restaurant Cafe is located at Sabang, Lipa City .They offer wide range of foods from appetizer , cakes, coffees and main dishes. The one that I ordered is The Sizzling Sisig with egg, SIsig is really one of my favorite so when i saw it on the menu i know this is the one ill order. While browsing on the menu to check other food they offer, what I easily notice that its a bit pricey for a student like me who’s in tight for budget. We also waited for some quite of time until our food is served. When I saw my order I then realized that the price is worth it for P139.00, its already a full meal and it is indeed really tasty. I just loved their rice, i like its buttery taste that compliments well with sisig itself. The sisig is well cooked and its not an ordinary taste of sisig that I’ve already tasted, there is something unique I guess with their recipe. Plus the place is so ambient, what I just didn’t like is that it is along the high way and it is see through I am not comfortable of eating that way. but the place itself has its antique style.

So tell me who wont get hooked up with any sweets like these. Chocolates, candies or anything sweets are a superb girls best friend. As a girl like me, sweets can uplift me anytime I am in my mood swing moments especially chocolates any brand, local or international as long as it mingle with my taste bud. Sweets are recommendable uplifting.

Ohhhh that creamy white sauce of lasagna that lingers on my mouth. Lasagna is my favorite pasta and also carbonara. I love everything about Lasagna from its layered pasta, white sauce, meat and its creamy cheese, I am indeed drooling and craving at this very moment.

Cookie bears are also delicious. Eating cookies make me reminisce of my childhood days, because for some reason cookies are an aid for a kids having a tantrum. Cookies with choco chips are my favorable one, because it has chocolates andĀ I’mĀ a chocoholic.

I’m also gaga for chips. yes, its a junk food but i love them especially theĀ flavored cheese one.

Pork Afritada Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 kilo pork, cut into desired pieces
2 medium sized carrots, sliced in 1 inch thick
2 potatoes, peeled and quartered
5 pcs. hotdog, cut into pieces
1/2 cup tomato sauce
oil
1 onion
4 cloves garlic
1 red bell pepper, medium
1 tbsp fish sauce
whole pepper
1 cup water

PROCEDURE:
-SauteĀ garlic and onion in a saucepan.
-Add pork, andĀ 1 tbspĀ of fish sauce, continue sauteing until meat is half cooked
.Put the sliced carrots
– And then after 2 mins. add the potatoes and stir fry for anotherĀ 2 mins.
-Pour in water and tomato sauce together with other seasoning and add hot dog
-Let it simmer, cover for about 20-25 minutes or until pork is cooked and carrots, potatoes andĀ hot dogsĀ are tender.
-Add the red bell pepper
-Stir and let simmer for 2-5 minutes
-Serve hot and enjoy!

Classic Chicken Adobo

As we all know, Chicken Adobo is considered Ā one of those popular mouth watering dish of the Philippines. Chicken Adobo is so easy to cook with its very simple ingredients and procedure.

INGREDIENTS:

This is forĀ 1 kilo.

1 kilo of chicken, cut into serving pieces
4pcs of garlic, crushed
1 onion
whole pepper
3 pcs dried bay leaves
2 tbsp vinegar
5 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 to 2 cups of water

Procedure:
-Marinade the chicken with the combined soy sauce and pepper for an hour
-Heat the cooking oil in a pan. Put the crushed and chopped garlic and onion. Cook for about 5minutes.
-Add the chicken and pour a gradual amount of water, let it boil until the water gets a little drained. Simmer for about 30 mintues.
-Add the whole pepper and dried leaves. After that put the 5tbsp of soysauce and 2tbsp of vinegar. Continue strring for 10 minutes
-Put-in the sugar, salt and oyster sauce
-Stir. taste if you already got your desired taste of adobo.
-Turn the heat off. Serve and Enjoy!
